Metal soap scum is formed when metal ions (magnesium, calcium, etc.) in tap water combine with fatty acids to produce water-insoluble soap. This product removes metal soap scum stains from unit baths, tiles, and ceramics that cannot be removed with neutral or alkaline detergents. (Note: It will not remove stains that have deteriorated over time.) The action of the activator allows it to penetrate quickly. It is viscous enough to adhere to the surface of metal soap scum. For light stains, it can be diluted and used.
